Keyword Optimization - Another Seo Wordpress Plugin

Another great wordpress plugin that automatically add both meta keywords and technorati tags to blog posts is called AutoMeta. Like other plugins that add to pages with tags and or meta information this plugin access the blogs database and looks though each posting for possible keywords to use in the metakeywords section as well as adding tags for technorati to pick-up. This is just one more plugin to aid with keyword optimization when posting to your blog.

I like and use this plugin for several reasons:

  • The addition of meta keywords is automatic, I can simply post and it is done (although I recommenced that blog owners go back and edit the keywords)
  • As mentioned it is possible (and advised) to edit the meta keywords, once the post is in place they are located below the main posting area in the wordpress admin. Listed as a “custom key” with the value “autometa”.
  • Adding metakeywords adds an additional seo element that is not provided with an out of the box blog, using this type of a plugin correctly will help differentiate my blogs with other blogs using similar templates.
  • I can blog via blogjet (a desk top publishing tool) and get the same results
