Making Money With Your Blog With Google Adsense
Yesterday was the first real blog post here at my-affiliate-programs.com, and even that post was created to test newly added blog “categories”. I wanted to share a bit about my thoughts on targeting google adsense revenue and why I am moving in this direction. I am sure many people will wonder why I am moving away from affiliate programs and affiliate marketing, after all the name of this site is “my–affiliate-programs.com” right?
First off it is important to note that while my focus will be increasing my adsense income over the next 12 months or so (figure summer of 06 will be a good time to evaluate) I will still be able to work in various affiliate programs with my adsense ads at the same time.
Why make this move to adsense? I think everyone would agree that adsense allows webmasters an incredibly flexible program in which to earn money from. While other programs may offer incredible payout, or terms adsense shines on just how flexible the program is. I can not think of any other program online that allows webmasters to target virtually any site theme or topic including tons and tons of niches online.
Adsense allows webmasters the chance to decide what they want to write about and create sites about much more than a traditional affiliate program. In the past three years online (full time in online marketing since 2002) I have learned that one of the best ways to drive traffic is to find “low hanging” search terms and to create pages based on these terms. Another popular method is to actually write about something you enjoy… imagine that… creating a site based on something you actually enjoy and know something about.
Adsense allows a webmaster to target these different aspects and still earn decent money. So that is why I am moving toward adsense, flexibility and being able to create sites based on a very wide range of topics. In the past three years my daily average income with google adsense has been around $50 a day and as high as about $225 a day. It will be a fun journey as I work to increase this number.
