Stats For Split Test - Hair Loss Niche Site

In the coming days I will attempt to increase site revenue on a niche blog I launched about a year ago. The site cover a hair loss disease and ranks well for some popular searches on MSN, the site is also coming up strong in Google Image Search as well. This post will provide me with split testing statistics for the site, split test marketing is simply taking a site with existing traffic and tweaking it in various ways to earn more money.

My plan is to first switch over the wordpress blog template and incorporate what I call “google image text ads – this site uses that technique”. I think I can increase the google adsense CTR which should boost income, I am also planning on introducing hair loss ebooks at the site via Clickbank for additional revenue. Step two of the plan includes researching additional keyword phrases to introduce as blog catagories and then to post new content to those catagories in order to drive additional traffic. Finally I will also been adding a great new way to drive adsense clicks with a little help from Aweber, more on that later ;-)

(Hair Loss) – Site Statistics From May 1 – May 31

  • Google AdSense Stats (What I Can Post Anyway)
  • $108.16 Total Income From Google Adsense
  • Daily Earnings Of $3.49 Over 31 Days
  • CTR For The Month Was Fairly Good
  • Traffic Stats From Server Logs
  • 2159 Unique Visitors (April Was 1500 Unique Visitors)
  • Top Referrals Google Images 772, MSN 590, Google 196, Yahoo 147, AOL 9

I am not sure how well the traffic from Google Images is converting to clicks, MSN however is sending me some great traffic as I am ranking for one very popular search term regarding hair ….

Once I get things underway I will report back my findings as always, expect an update in two to three weeks.
